Paramedics: Job description:
A paramedic is someone trained to assist medical professionals. The workers in an ambulance are paramedics. They provide immediate response to emergency medical calls (in Argentina 911 is the number for emergency). They are usually the first professionals on the scene and are responsible for providing essential treatment prior to hospital admission. Paramedics attend emergencies including minor injuries, sudden illness, and casualties arising from road and rail accidents, criminal violence, fires and other incidents. They are usually in an ambulance crew with the ambulance technician or emergency care assistant. A paramedic's day is always different because their work is diverse. People consider that paramedics are heroes.
